What to expect from our Fareham branch

The UK’s 1st MCIAC Gold Standard Quality Motorcycle Training school.

The training site is located at Henry Cort Community College, just off junction 9 of the M27. The training centre has a large motorcycle training area for students wishing to complete their CBT and module 1 test and because all DVSA tests are booked by us up to 10 weeks in advance, we can guarantee time slots.

The centre is open 7 days a week and all course times are tailored to suit you. We have significant parking spaces available next to the training centre with great connections by bus and rail.

Yes, we have a fleet of new bikes for you to use on the day of your training.

What is a CBT and what can I ride once I have completed it.

The courses normally start at 08:30 and the CBT consists of unlimited training until you reach a safe standard of on-road riding. and is usually completed in one day.

Do I need a Motorcycle Theory and Hazard Perception Test before my CBT Course?

No your CBT just qualifies you as a learner for a two year period and as such you do NOT need to take a theory test

Can I ride a motorcycle with clutch and gears if I took my CBT on an automatic?

First, check that your licence shows Category A provisional. If so, you can ride a 125cc machine for as long as your CBT certificate lasts.

I took my CBT on an automatic scooter. Can I ride a motorcycle with clutch and gears?

Yes, provided you comply with the age and engine size/power restrictions mentioned above, the CBT is normally valid for either type of transmission.
